  • This is a truly 100% VEGAN STEAK made from Lion's Mane mushrooms! When I first saw these mushrooms being cooked like steak, I thought it was a joke until I made and tried this for myself. This recipe is easy to follow and right to the point – no nonsense in-between – so you can get to enjoying this unbelievably delicious dish.

This dish was crafted to please even the most devoted steak lover's palate. Tender lion's mane mushrooms, soaking up a tantalizing marinade of red wine, olive oil, soy sauce, and a symphony of herbs and spices. It's a delicious entree that mimics the texture, consistency, and flavor of a perfectly grilled steak.

But here's the best part – it's not just about the taste. This recipe features a very similar appearance and texture as a grilled steak, all while staying true to your plant-based lifestyle. Whether you're a seasoned vegan chef or simply curious about exploring new culinary horizons, this dish is a must-try.

And let's talk versatility! Pair it with your favorite sides like creamy mashed potatoes, wholesome farro, or charred grilled broccoli for a complete meal that's as hearty as it is delicious.

Fire up the grill and treat yourself to a dish that's not only mouthwateringly good but also wholesome and satisfying!

    Cooking Instructions

    1. Boil 3 cups of water. Once boiling, remove from heat and immediately add liquid ingredients
      • (red wine, olive oil, soy sauce)
    2. Combine with dry ingredients
      • (beet powder, chopped thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper)
    3. Rinse lion's mane mushrooms, squeezing out excess water
    4. Firmly flatten lion's mane mushrooms
    5. Combine mushrooms and marinade in a ziplock bag, ensuring the marinade is evenly distributed
    6. Let marinate for 30 - 60 minutes
    7. Grill on medium-high heat
      • I liked the pieces of steak that had a little char to them. Don't be afraid of overcooking -- mushrooms are difficult to overcook!
    8. Serve with farro, mashed potatoes, grilled broccoli, etc. We went with farro for this dish and it came out amazing!

    Enjoy!
